A public school teacher at River Ridge High School in Georgia was caught on camera telling students to remove their President Donald Trump shirts, likening the shirts to the Nazi swastika.

“Just like you can’t wear a swastika to school, you cannot use a slogan (Make America Great Again) like that,” the teacher said on a video submitted to Turning Point USA.

Turning Point reports the teacher has been identified as Lyn Orletsky, who is listed as a math teacher on the school’s website.

The viral video has been viewed more than 1.2 million times on the group’s Facebook page.

Sources told Turning Point the incident occurred Aug. 31 and involved two students wearing pro-Trump shirts in class. The teacher can be heard directing students wearing Trump shirts to turn them inside out in order to conceal the message on the front.

“Please go at least for this class. I don’t care what you do in other classes,” the teacher said.

A student can be heard asking the teacher if the students are being forced to turn their shirts inside out simply because they display “Trump” on the front.

“Because it says ‘Make America Great Again,’” the teacher said. “The neo-Nazis, I’m not saying about Trump, but the slogan.”

The Cherokee County School District told WSB-TV in Atlanta that the students’ pro-Trump shirts were not in violation of the dress code.

“Her actions were wrong, as the ‘Make America Great Again’ shirts worn by the students are not a violation of our school district dress code,” the statement said.

The district said the teacher “additionally, and inappropriately, shared her personal opinion about the campaign slogan during class.”
