Western Journalism

Recently, BuzzFeed, an American internet media company, decided to publish an article which released an unsubstantiated intelligence report which revolved around President-elect Trump’s alleged corrupt business dealings with Russia.

It was clear upon reading the report that it likely contains no truth at all. It is riddled with errors, misspellings, and unchecked “facts.” Yet, CNN jumped on the anti-Trump train and decided that they too should publish an article on the report.

The article led to the President-elect calling out CNN’s White House Correspondent Jim Acosta by refusing to answer any questions from CNN because it is “fake news.”

Over the last year CNN has bombarded Trump, making him the subject of ridicule and belittlement in an attempt to smear his image.

Instead of hurting Trump’s image, they damaged their own. Many now believe that CNN is no longer a credible news source, and for good reason.

Do you think that CNN embodies a fake news source?
