The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has been a centerpiece of scandals during Barack Obama’s presidency.
No government agency has gotten away with violating the rights and liberties of law-abiding citizens as much as the IRS has.
IRS Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner’s unlawful targeting of conservatives was just the tip of the iceberg. Now, the DOJ has decided not to prosecute Lois Lerner. Corruption within the IRS has spiraled out of control and into the hands of left-wing, partisan extremists intent on silencing the voice of conservatives in America.
Below is a list of IRS violations that are CRIMINAL and offensive:
- The IRS intentionally targeted conservative and religious groups seeking tax exempt status.
- The IRS hosted lavish parties for employees that were funded using taxpayer dollars.
- The IRS allegedly destroyed evidence of Lois Lerner’s personal involvement in the scandal.
- Lerner repeatedly refused to cooperate with investigators and is being held in contempt of Congress.
- Lerner’s hard drive, which contained information valuable to the investigation, mysteriously went missing after investigators asked for it.
- Investigators recovered an email where Lerner used profane language in her description of conservatives.
These multiple violations have led many Americans to call for the abolishment of the IRS.
This country needs men like Ron Paul and Ted Cruz- men who are willing to demand the abolishment of the IRS so we can preserve what liberty we have left.
For Americans to prosper, the government must stay out of the pockets of hard working Americans who are trying to make an honest living. Americans have a right to spend and donate to organizations as they see fit without the government claiming a share of their income.
Millions of honest taxpayers file their taxes with the IRS each year, worried about the possibility that the IRS could come after them– even though they have nothing to hide.
The growing threat of IRS agents seizing financial assets by force is very real. Thousands of IRS agents are authorized to carry weapons, indicating that the government could be preparing itself for a conflict of epic proportions.
The IRS must be eliminated before it becomes even more powerful and bureaucratic than it already is, if that is even possible.
The 4th Amendment to the US Constitution prohibits the government from unreasonable search and seizure. This includes the seizure of financial assets for the purpose of taxing the people. To be clear, the IRS mandate for Americans to pay income taxes is a blatant violation of your 4th Amendment rights.
For these reasons and more, I urge you to exercise your freedom of speech by signing this petition.
